Today, one of the great guitarist of all time and a founding member of Quicksilver Messenger Service, John Cipollina would have been celebrating his 70th birthday. John was one of the people that made the "psychedelic sound" of San Francisco. After leaving Quicksilver he formed the band Copperhead and then later played with numerous other bands.
We had the pleasure to work with John. Just a tremendous human being.
John passed away on May 29, 1989 from chronic emphysema.
To celebrate his birthday, we want everyone to "Have Another Hit, Of Fresh Air".
Happy Birthday John. RIP. You are missed by so many.
