Paul McCartney vai relançar dois discos dos Wings com material inédito

Venus and Mars e At the Speed of Sound chegam às lojas atualizados ainda neste ano

RIO - 28 jul. / 2014 - Paul McCartney vai relançar dois discos dos Wings com material de bônus, que inclui versões demo e faixas inéditas. Venus and Mars (1975) e At the Speed of Sound (1976) chegam remasterizados às lojas físicas e digitais no dia 23 de setembro, segundo a edição americana da revista "Rolling Stone".

Uma edição de luxo ainda incluirá um livro com fotografias, entrevistas e DVD. Estas informações nunca foram divulgadas aos fãs. Os dois álbuns serão lançados em formato CD duplo.

Macca supervisionou a produção do novo material, além de ter participado da remasterização, que foi feita nos estúdios da Abbey Road pelo mesmo time que trabalhou na discografia dos Beatles.

Não é a primeira vez que o ex-beatle relança seus trabalhos. No início do mês, cinco de seus álbuns clássicos, McCartney (1970), Ram (1971), Band On The Run (1973), Wings Over America (1976) e McCartney II (1980) — foram transformadas em aplicativos do iPad pela gravadora Concord Music Group, e lançados na Apple App Store.

Ele retomou sua turnê Out There, no início de julho, quase dois meses depois que um vírus o derrubou. O músico, de 72 anos, ficou doente e foi hospitalizado em Tóquio. Em seguida, adiou uma série de shows em Lubbock, Dallas, New Orleans, Atlanta, Jacksonville, Nashville e Louisville. McCartney tirou férias em Ibiza antes de voltar aos palcos.
